Quilter's Prayer

Dear Jesus,
Please let my points meet up, once all the seams are in.

and please let the thread not run out until I finnish this row.

But if I need to work on my patience...I understand.
The stitch ripper can soon be in hand.
Amen.

I found myself thinking little thought prayers like this today. I wondered if I was being trite. Then, I thought, I'm using this time as a sort of therapy, and these thoughts aren't going through my head in a bad way...it really wouldnt have made that time any more theraputic had my thread ran out. I think God knew my morale was low. He blessed me by way of thread. That and my points matched pretty welll...a significan gift from God because my thoughts were everywhere else.

One In Every Color- Spooling

We've (Me and Val) found TONS of thread among mom's crafting supplies and projects. We narrowed it down to a smaller variety of colors to fit in this drawer to use for mending, and small projects. Cotton/Quilting thread is staying in the quilting tool box. I like to leave this drawer pulled out to look at the colors! I'm also glad I made sure to arrange them juuuust so.   :)

These are spools and threads that go back to my Grandmother Peggy's collection. (Maybe even further than that.) Yep! Those are all wooden spools! I can't bring myself to get rid of these treasures! Stacking toys/blocks for a little guy or girl? Ornaments? A fun display jar for my dream craft room? Fine motor skills practice threading them onto a shoelace? Teaching sizes? Small, Medium, Large....Big, Small, Smallest? Even EyeSpy? I spy with my little eye something that makes me thing of "How About Orange!"
