Toasty Chips
Amidst all that business of thanks, I managed to squeeze one more thing to be thankful for in.
My favorite Mexican food restaurant in Fresno, Sal's sends a bag of their warm chips with a to-go order of salsa. Their chips are fantastic warm but get dense and not so wonderfully fried feeling/tasting the next morning.
I realized the low heat coming out of the burners while I made chocolate chip cookies was just right for warming up the bag of chips! (Or do the major grease spots on the bag give it away!) Cheers to leftovers!

Hi Jessica,
Thank you for loving Sal's Famous Salsa and chips. We use a yellow thin corn tortilla to minimize the oil absorption in the chip. They can retain more oil if the chips are not cooked at the correct frying temperature or if the fryer oil was not allowed to recover to the correct frying temperature before a new batch was cooked.
TIP: Place the chip bag in the microwave on high for 45 seconds to reheat.
Sals is the best!! And you da you da best!! I cant wait for canning lessons so i can save up that salsa!!
